Originally from Cape Breton Island, John has called Summerside, PEI home for the past 15 years. His father's record collection introduced him to Cape Breton, East Coast, and Canadian music at an early age, shaping his musical influences. John began performing professionally at 15, specializing in Cape Breton Celtic and Folk songs. He built his career touring with local cover bands throughout Maritime bars and pubs, and playing at music festivals and conferences in Ontario and the USA..

From his initial LP in 2010 to a Christmas Songs EP in 2019 and the sophomore LP "Southern Sun" in 2023, John's musical journey continues with "Northern Moon." This latest EP showcases his Americana/Folk sound, characterized by an edgy tone and gives prominent Telecaster vibes.
